The highly-anticipated Xiaomi Mix 5 smartphone is seemingly getting closer to its release date after a benchmark of the device was spotted on Geekbench 5. One of the most premium smartphones produced by Xiaomi, the Mix lineup has been known to showcase the Chinese tech company’s innovative prowess in the smartphone space.
The Mi Mix, the first iteration of the lineup made headlines when it debuted in 2016 with an almost all-screen front, setting a trend for the rest of the industry that is still going strong 6 years later. Based on previous leaks of the Mix 5, it looks like Xiaomi is trying to perfect that all-screen front design, this time by utilising under-screen camera on its front.

As reported byMySmartPrice, the Mix 5 was spotted on Geekbench 5’s website being listed under its codename ‘Xiaomi 2203121C’. Based on other similar instances in the past, the fact that the device is listed on Geekbench 5 should mean that it will most likely be launched soon.
Moreover, we can also ascertain certain specs of the Mix 5 based on the benchmark result, including its chipset and RAM. In the device’s Geekbench 5 result, it is pretty much confirmed that the device will be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU that has a peak clock speed of 3.00GHz.

The CPU will be paired with the Adreno 730 GPU and the device should have 12GB of RAM. However, given that manufacturers these days provide several RAM and storage variations for their devices, the 12GB of RAM may only be applicable for this particular variant, with the possibility of Xiaomi offering other storage options that have less or more RAM.
The Geekbench 5 result also confirmed that the Mix 5 will run on Android 12, most probably with MIUI 13 pre-installed. Furthermore, its 1257 single-core and 3456 on multi-core scores are also expected for a device that is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Previously, we also reported that the Mix 5 will also feature a new 150W fast-charging technology. However, that particular leak could not be confirmed by the device’s Geekbench 5 listing.
