When it comes to flip phones, these devices usually don't come with a lot of battery power juice. However, phone brands are slowly improving their battery capacity. According to a new reputable leak, DigitalChat said the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is launching with a 5,100mAh battery pack.
Previously, there were a couple of rumours that the Mix Flip 2 could have a 5,600 or 5,700mAh battery pack but quite unlikely given the size of the flip phone. A 5,100mAh battery pack could be doable and compared to the predecessor, it is still larger than its 4,780mAh battery cell.
Additionally, the leakster also mentioned a possible 50W wireless charging technology and an IPX8 water resistance rating. The creasing on the display is said to be improved as well and the flip phone could come with some customisations and new colourways, which is targeted at the women demographic.
Other than that, other sources reported that the Mix Flip 2 may feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a dual rear camera setup which includes a 50MP ultrawide sensor. We expect to hear more leaks of the Mix Flip 2 in the coming weeks as we approach the second quarter of 2025.
Although there is no official date yet, the Mix Flip 2 is said to launch in the second quarter of the year. Initially, rumoured news suggests the new Xiaomi flip phone could launch in the first half of the year but the window is closing as we enter February.
