Yesterday, we reported that Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi Pad 6 series alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra on 18 April. Now, more details of the tablet have been confirmed, including its processor under the hood.
Taking to Weibo, Xiaomi confirmed that the Pad 6 Pro will be powered by last-gen’s Qualcomm flagship mobile processor, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. While not the latest and greatest from the chipmaker, the SoC is still really capable and is being used in many Chinese high-end smartphones.
Moreover, the company also confirmed that the vanilla Pad 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC. That’s the same chipset used on the Pad 5 Pro and Pad 5 Pro 12.4 last year.
The Pad 6 Pro was also spotted rocking dual 50MP cameras on the company’s official render. Well, for the full specs list, we just have to wait until the tablet series launch next week.
