The Xiaomi Pad series might be getting an update soon as its upcoming family member, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has been spotted getting certification by the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC). Based on the certification detail, Xiaomi applied for the certification on 13 May 2022 and it was approved a couple of weeks later on 25 May 2022.

As reported by xiaomiui, the device is registered under the model number ‘22081283G’, which could give hints as to when it will be released. The first 4 digits (2208) is usually the approximate release date of devices getting EEC certification, hence we may be seeing the Pad 6 as early as August this year.

The report further claimed that Xiaomi could be introducing 3 other tablets besides the Pad 6 this year. These include the Xiaomid Pad 6 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G and Redmi Pad.

No further information was shared in the EEC certification, though based on previous rumours, the Redmi Pad will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Meanwhile, the Pad 6 may feature a faster MediaTek SoC.

However, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of tablets manufactured by Xiaomi, you’d definitely have a few things to look forward to this year!
