Xiaomi appears ready to launch the Redmi K Pad internationally, but with a fresh name. Leaks suggest the compact flagship will arrive in overseas markets as the Xiaomi Pad Mini, aligning it directly against Apple's iPad Mini series.
A Redmi K Pad in Disguise
The Pad Mini is expected to retain the Redmi K Pad’s standout hardware, which includes an 8.8?inch 3K LCD with 3008?×?1880 pixels, a 165Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, the same 3?nm flagship SoC found in the K80 Ultra, alongside up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS?4.0/4.1 storage.
Next, the Pad Mini should also have a 7500mAh battery with 67W fast-charging support, dual USB-C ports and dual stereo Dolby Atmos speakers. Customers can also expect the tablet to run on HyperOS 2, based on Android 15.
Global Outlook: What to Expect
The Redmi K Pad received certification from TDRA (UAE) and IMDA (Singapore), strongly suggesting an imminent global debut, possibly in July or September 2025, likely alongside new Xiaomi 15T series phones. Though Xiaomi has kept the official name under wraps, industry tips lean towards the Xiaomi Pad Mini branding in mainstream markets.
Notably, there are rumours that in some regions—especially parts of Europe or Southeast Asia—the device might launch as part of a Poco-branded offering, possibly under a different model name.
Until then, let's just wait and see what Xiaomi plans to do with the Pad Mini. Stay tuned for our official news coverage in the future, only at TechNave.com.
