It was only last year when Xiaomi launched its first-ever SU7 EV. Today, the company made another milestone, partnering with Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital to bring the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra into Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This marks the first appearance of a Xiaomi vehicle in the popular racing simulator franchise.

First Xiaomi Vehicle in Gran Turismo

The announcement was made during the opening round of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025, followed by a visit in May by Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi to Xiaomi’s Beijing headquarters and EV production facility. Yamauchi test-drove the SU7 Ultra and later praised the vehicle's performance and Xiaomi's rapid progress in the automotive space.

Xiaomi’s Founder and CEO Lei Jun, expressed hope that the inclusion of Xiaomi’s EV would help introduce more players to the capabilities of smart electric vehicles.

SU7 Ultra specifications

The SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi’s flagship electric model and part of its larger "Human x Car x Home" ecosystem. Launched in 2024, the vehicle features Xiaomi’s self-developed tri-motor HyperEngine V8s system and can reach speeds over 350 km/h with a 0–100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds.

Xiaomi says the model holds multiple track records for four-door cars and has been extensively tested at the Nürburgring. It also has up to 21 carbon fibre components and advanced features like torque vectoring and adaptive damping.

Looking ahead

While the partnership includes the SU7 Ultra’s debut in Gran Turismo 7, the companies also confirmed plans to co-develop a Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept vehicle designed specifically for the game in the future.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will be integrated into Gran Turismo 7 through a collaborative process to ensure an accurate representation of its design and handling characteristics. The update will roll out to players globally later this year.
