As some of you may remember, the Xiaomi Watch S1 launched at the end of December 2021. It hasn't made its way to Malaysia, but Xiaomi might be holding it back for the global launch of the Xiaomi 12 series. Sources have also sported a new Watch S1 Active model, which could come soon.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal provided some renders of the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active and global variants of the Xiaomi 12 series. As you can see, it has a few differences when compared to the Xiaomi Watch S1. First, the use of silicone straps instead of leather bands. Secondly, the two circular dials were replaced by regular buttons. Thirdly, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active has a thicker bezel that gives the smartwatch a more 'sporty' look.
Your first look at the official renders of upcoming Xiaomi Watch S1 Active — and it looks so good! I love the design, it's bold & clean.

The specs for the Watch S1 Active are currently unknown. But it's believed that some specs would be similar to the Watch S1. This model is expected to have the same 470mAh battery, 5ATM water resistance, over 117 sports modes, and an AMOLED display. The AMOLED display might be slightly smaller, as it comes with a thicker bezel. Mind you, that's assuming that the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active is of the same size as the Xiaomi Watch S1.
With that said, what do you think of the design changes? Do you prefer Watch S1 Active? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
