Xiaomi and IKEA officially announced their strategic partnership recently at the annual MIDC conference. This means that IKEA's full range of smart lighting products will be connected to Xiaomi's IoT (Internet of Things) platform starting from December 2018 in China. No news when these will be available in Malaysia or for how much.

These lights and other Xiaomi IoT smart devices can be controlled via Xiaomi devices including the Xiao Ai voice assistant and Mi Home app, connecting to the Mi Control Hub through the ZigBee protocol. Xiaomi also announced their Mi Smart Door Lock with 3D live fingerprint sensor and cooperation with Ji Hotel, CHJ Automative and Ikongjian for various other IoT applications.
