Looking to get a new Android TV box? If you're looking for something more futureproof, you may the new one from Xiaomi. The company has just announced that pre-orders for its latest Mi Box 4S Pro has started and you can get it for 399 yuan (~RM249).
The Mi Box 4S Pro is the successor of the Mi Box 4 Pro that was announced on Xiaomi's official Weibo recently. It's not a generational leap, but it does come with some improvements over its predecessor. Specifically, the new model packs 8K video decoding, allowing you to watch 8K content at 30fps. Of course, this is only useful once there are more 8K videos or movies available.
Besides the 8K decoding, the Mi Box 4S Pro also comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and supports HDMI 2.1. It'll also come with a Bluetooth remote control that supports voice commands. This will be convenient for the international variant of the device, as it's expected to support Android TV and Google Assistant.
