Xiaomi backed Black Shark gaming smartphone is officially unveiled from ~RM1854, no 120hz display?

The much anticipated Black Shark gaming smartphone, backed by Xiaomi has been unveiled officially in Beijing, China alongside the company's first gaming laptop. While there were several leaks that teased a 120hz refresh rate display but it turns out that it will only pack in a 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ratio 60hz display with FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels). 

Other noteworthy tech specs include a liquid cooled Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with options for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version for 3499 CNY (~RM2163) and a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version going for 2999 CNY (~RM1854). Other features include a gaming oriented mic and dedicated Shark button for a performance turbo boost.

It will also have a dual 12MP + 20MP rear camera, 20MP selfie camera and lastly an internal 4000mAh battery and running on an Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Black Shark also released their own "plug and play" gamepad which was claimed to last up to 30 hours of gaming on a single charge due to a built-in 340 mAh battery. The controller itself will be sold seperately at a retail price of 179 Yuan (~RM110). No Malaysia release date or pricing details yet, so stay tuned to TechNave.com.
