According to sources, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone will be one of the first to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. From Xiaomi's official WeChat channel, they have confirmed that the Mi 7 is ready with wireless charging technology. But what kind of wireless charging technology is it?

To sum up what the WeChat message is saying, Xiaomi stated that its wireless charging technology is supplied by Integrated Device Technology from the USA, the type of module is not clear at the moment but it ranges from 3W single direction to 15W dual-direction. Whichever the case is, the Mi 7 will have the Qi wireless charging technology and will enter mass production in February next month, indicating the phone will be ready at the end or after the first quarter of 2018. On the other hand, Xiaomi is also using IDT's RF products which means that Mi 7 will be able to connect swiftly with a number of wireless bands in the USA. Looks like Xiaomi is trying to break into the western market with its products this year.

At the tech-specs corner, the Mi 7 is said to feature a 5.65-inch display (18:9 ratio) and 3200mAh battery, while the Mi 7 Plus will be slightly bigger with a 6.01-inch display (also 18:9 ratio) and 3500mAh battery. Snapdragon 845 processor will be on board as aforementioned and we can expect a RAM power up to 6GB.

The Mi 7 sure sounds like a beast, until then let's just wait and see when it's ready to be unveiled. Stay tuned for more Xiaomi news at TechNave.com.
