Previously, we shared how realme is unveiling a whopping 300W fast-charging technology next week. Not to be outdone, Xiaomi is also reportedly testing batteries and charging technologies, though its putting more emphasis on the cell capacity than speed.

According to FoneArena which sourced reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Xiaomi is currently testing different large battery capacities with at least 100W charging on smartphones. These include up to a whopping 7500mAh cells with 100W charging.

Specifically, the battery capacities, their charging speeds and how long they take to fully charge from 0 per cent are as below:

  • 5000mAh battery with 120W charging - 18 minutes
  • 5500mAh battery with 100W charging - 34 minutes
  • 6000mAh battery with 120W charging - 30 minutes
  • 6500mAh battery with 100W charging - 49 minutes
  • 7000mAh battery with 120W charging - 40 minutes
  • 7500mAh battery with 100W charging - 63 minutes
