According to Smartprix, Xiaomi has launched its HyperOS 3 in China as their latest operating system. So, what should you know about it?
Xiaomi's answer to the Dynamic Island?
For your information, HyperOS 3 brings a variety of new features, such as Super Island, which is similar to Dynamic Island in iOS. The Super Island mini window can display charging information, earphone battery level, live activities, music controls and more.
Notably, two activities can be displayed by Super Island, with one in an oval-shaped window and the other in a circle. Plus, new personalisation on the lock screen is also introduced. Cinematic videos can be used with 3D information that can hide widgets, such as clocks, behind elements in the video.
If you prefer animation, cinematic videos can be transformed into anime style using artificial intelligence (AI). In the Gallery app, the interface has been reorganised with a special category for pets. The search system is now optimised for common searches such as business cards and specific individuals.
According to Xiaomi, HyperOS 3 reduces battery consumption by 10% when playing videos, reduces standby time by up to 21% and reduces battery consumption in mobile games by up to 9%. For the watch, HyperOS 3 can transmit health tracking data that has already been tracked to the Xiaomi camera app.
If you're exercising, your heart rate, distance travelled, and blood oxygen content can be displayed as widgets in the video you're recording. It can also display your heart rate on the infotainment system of Xiaomi's electric vehicle (EV).
But that is not all
TV-wise, multi-channel streaming support is possible, as well as child viewing time control. The screensaver system also has more options. Apple ecosystem support has also been added. Sending files, photos, videos, and WiFi passwords can be done by touching the iPhone.
Moreover, the integration of displaying Xiaomi phones on the iPad is also provided, with the iPad being compatible with Xiaomi's EV ecosystem. The hotspot and Find My iPhone feature has also been improved, with Xiaomi devices being able to be tracked using Apple's system.
These are just some of the new features of HyperOS 3 announced today. Xiaomi also announced that the HyperOS 3 Beta version will be available for these devices:
- Xiaomi 15
- Xiaomi 15 Pro
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra
- Xiaomi 15s Pro
