Chinese tech giant Xiaomi recently released the Redmi Note 11SE in India which not only has a new naming structure but may also be the start of a new trend with smartphones under the Redmi sub-brand. Get this, the Note 11SE is the first Redmi smartphone to not include a charger inside the box, which may also be implemented in future Redmi devices.

According to GizChina, Xiaomi has so far stopped including chargers with its phones since the Xiaomi Mi 11 though the trend was only applied within its flagship lineup. With the Redmi Note 11SE, it looks like Xiaomi is expanding the removal of chargers inside the retail box for its Redmi series too.

Of course, the move to not include chargers inside the box was started by Apple with its iPhone 12 Series. The tech giant attributed the decision to reducing electronic waste and helping the environment. Though it was mocked by other tech companies when Apple made the move, the trend has now become ubiquitous in the smartphone market.

Well, let’s wait and see whether Xiaomi will discontinue putting chargers inside the box for future Redmi smartphones or whether the Redmi Note 11SE was just the company testing the water. What do you guys think?
