Apart from making smartphones, Xiaomi also dedicates a large part of their effort into making smart TVs. With that said, the company's smart TV business is now one of the largest in China and India. Of course, the tech giant will not stop because of one achievement. It is rumoured that they will soon launch an 82-inch 8K TV with the latest communication technology.
The upcoming Xiaomi 8K smart TV bears the model L82M68K as spotted on 3C. According to the famous tipster Digital Chat Station, the TV will use a panel supplied by LG Display but the type of it has not been mentioned yet. Other than that, the tipster also revealed that the TV will come with an integrated 5G modem to provide an uninterrupted 8K streaming experience.
This is not the first 5G smart TV as a company named ChiQ (Changhong) has announced theirs earlier this year. For the price, the Xiaomi 8K TV will be super expensive but still cheaper than the company's transparent TV which is priced at 49,999 Yuan (~RM30,418). The smart TV is expected to be launched in the coming weeks with a 4K variant as well.
