Just a few hours ago on Weibo, Xiaomi has teased their fans with a series of posters of what it seems to be some home appliance product. As scheduled to launch soon this month (7 March), it seems that Xiaomi has been in collaboration with some subsidiary brands in manufacturing these products through crowdfunding.
Looking at the teaser posters, Xiaomi will be releasing a coffee maker. If you’re wondering why would Xiaomi make such a move, it’s actually quite a good move since according to an analysis report; there is actually an increasing number of coffee consumption in China, in fact, there is a 3% of retail volume sales reaching 65 thousand tons just last year. With Xiaomi’s reputation of producing economical products, this should be great news for people who are looking for an affordable coffee machine.
In other news, Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO also made an announcement at a media press conference earlier, that the company is heading into using the full potential of A.I. in their products. As he hopes that the company will achieve “the implementation of a national strategy on artificial intelligence”, he said artificial intelligence is the future of technology, so hence Xiaomi will focus on releasing key products based on that.
