Xiaomi has officially unveiled the MIUI 12, which comes with various new features and improvement such as Super Wallpapers, Floating windows, and more. In terms of the availability date, the new update is expected to be rolled out globally starting from the end of June 2020 onwards and it will be available on all Xiaomi smartphones that support it.
To go into more detail, the MIUI 12 comes with much better privacy protection which allows the user to take note of an application’s behaviour as well as find out what kind of information it collects. Not only that, but it will also notify you whenever an application requests for sensitive information such as the location of the user at the top of the smartphone.
Other than that, MIUI 12 also introduces the Floating Windows feature which gives the user more flexibility when it comes to multitasking. This new feature also introduces various new gestures that the user could take advantage of in order to quickly enlarge or close an applicating while using floating windows.
But that’s not all, there’s also the new Super Wallpaper feature which is an interactive wallpaper that reacts whenever you unlock the smartphone. Not only that but if you were to activate the Dark Mode feature which is also found on the MIUI 12, you’ll be greeted with a night version of the wallpaper.
Last but not least, MIUI 12 comes with better animations and visual feedback when connecting to a Wi-Fi network, power consumption, as well as storing notes into a folder. This is not only more immersive, but the user will also be able to obtain more information at a glance.
