One thing that many still find unusual about Xiaomi is how it has products in vastly different fields. The company even makes shoes, with the latest one being the Mijia Sneakers 4 that was launched recently. As the number suggests, this is the fourth generation of the Mijia Sneakers and it comes with a few improvements.
According to Mydrivers, the Mijia Sneakers 4 is a sports shoe designed to be lightweight. Xiaomi used a uni-moulding manufacturing technique to integrate its midsoles with four sole components to then form a single 'unibody'. This results in a pair of shoes that will be more comfortable to wear. Supposedly, the midsole itself is made using lightweight elastic polymer materials that will make you feel like you're stepping on cotton candy.
Also, the straps are pre-tied into a shape similar to fish bones that helps with wearing comfort. Another advantage these shoes have is that you can clean it using a washing machine. It also comes with Microban antibacterial material, which should help in reducing odour.
If you're interested in getting a new pair of sports shoes, the Mijia Sneakers 4 is expected to launch on 9 April 2020 for an affordable 199 yuan (~RM123). It's available in grey, blue, and black colours, as well as sizes of 39 to 44.
