Xiaomi will reportedly hike up the prices for its upcoming flagship smartphone lineup, the Xiaomi 15 series. This is according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station who took to Weibo to reveal the reason behind the price increase.
Digital Chat Station was quoted by GizmoChina as saying that it’s “difficult” for Xiaomi to maintain the current price range of the flagship series. He asserted that this is due to the rising costs of chips, memory and other materials such as titanium, which most flagship smartphones are currently using.
In the post, the tipster also claimed that only the premium titanium version of the Xiaomi 15 series will feature satellite communications. Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed just yet.
