After over a year, Xpeng’s refreshed G6 has officially made its Malaysian debut, with the facelifted model now available via the country’s sole distributor, Bermaz Xpeng. According to sources, the SUV continues to arrive fully built (CBU) from China, but brings new powertrain options, design tweaks, and variant choices not seen in the earlier version.
Xpeng G6 Performance
A quick visit to the official website unveils that all new G6 variants now use an 80.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery as standard. Previously, a smaller 66 kWh LFP only appeared in the previous Standard Range 2WD model, which is no longer offered.
The RWD Long Range Pro delivers 296 PS (218 kW) while retaining 440 Nm torque. Its sprint from 0–100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 202 km/h. Under WLTP, its range is rated at 525 km, which is slightly lower than the outgoing Long Range 2WD’s 570 km. Meanwhile, the new AWD Performance (and Black Edition) variant features dual motors — combining the rear unit with a 190 PS front motor — for a total of 487 PS (358 kW) and 660 Nm. It rockets 0–100 km/h in 4.13 seconds, with a WLTP range of 510 km.

Charging is upgraded too: both variants support 5C DC fast charging, enabling a 10-80 % charge in just 12 minutes (at peak 451 kW). AC charging is capped at 11 kW, requiring about 9.2 hours for a full charge (5–100 %). Furthermore, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function is now standard, delivering 3.3 kW to power other devices or appliances. Also, the chassis’ suspension geometry, drive modes, and other mechanical setups remain consistent with the outgoing model.
Design and Interior Updates
Visually, the facelift introduces a full-width Starlight Wing LED light bar (with integrated turn signals), and the Xpeng logo has been repositioned higher on the bonnet. Body accents around the wheel arches now match the body colour, and a ducktail spoiler sits just above the slim rear lighting. Dimensions are largely unchanged, save for a modest 5 mm increase in overall length; boot capacity remains at 571 litres (expandable to 1374 litres).

Inside, you will find updates to the dashboard layout with refreshed air vent and cupholder styling. The central screen is now 15.6 inches (up from 14.96 inches in the previous model), and controls like climate and infotainment are integrated into it. The steering wheel gains capacitive touch buttons, and the interior continues to feature premium finishes, ambient lighting, high-end audio, and advanced connectivity.
Safety, Warranty and Extras
The battery pack now resides in a more protective structure, claimed to withstand temperatures up to 1000 °C and side crush forces of 80 tonnes. Battery lifespan is also said to be improved by 30%. Warranty terms include five years / 120000 km for the vehicle and 8 years / 160000 km for the battery (whichever comes first). Buyers also receive 5 years / 100000 km free maintenance. Lastly, optional home AC chargers are available — a 7 kW unit priced at RM 4300, or an 11 kW version at RM 5000 (installation included).
Pricing and Variant lineup

Now offered in three variants (one more than before), the lineup starts with the RWD Long Range Pro priced at RM 179708 (on-the-road, without insurance). On the other hand, the flagship AWD Performance variant goes for RM 190708, and there’s an optional Black Edition version with a slight visual upgrade, priced at RM 194708.
Interestingly, while the facelift drops the previous “Standard Range 2WD” model, its successor undercuts the old Long Range 2WD on pricing, giving buyers more value for performance.
