During the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) this year, Xpeng Thailand has opened pre-orders for the Xpeng G6. This model will be offered in two variants. However, the official price has not been revealed but is estimated to be between 1.5 million to 1.799 million baht (~RM195k to RM234k).
Developed with Xpeng's own SEPA 2.0 platform, the G6 measures 4,753 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. This is Xpeng's first right-hand drive EV model, which will be sold in Thailand and enter the Singapore and Malaysia markets.

For our country's market, Bermaz Auto confirmed that it has already obtained the distribution rights of Xpeng . What is certain is that the G6 will be the first Xpeng model to be offered in Malaysia – Xpeng says deliveries will start in the third quarter (Q3) of this year.
In Thailand, the G6 is offered for Standard Range and Long Range variants, with both variants powered by the same rear motor, capable of producing 296 PS (218 kW) and 440 Nm of torque, allowing the G6 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds for Standard Range and 5.9 seconds for Long Range, with a top speed of 202 km/h.
However, there is a major difference in terms of battery size. The basic model is provided with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 66 kWh that provides a range of up to 580 km. Meanwhile, Long Range received a nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) unit with a capacity of 87.5 kWh with a range of up to 755 km. Both figures are based on the CLTC cycle, so it is expected to be less if it involves daily driving.
With an 800-volt electric build, both models can support the use of up to 280 kW of DC fast charging, allowing the G6 to add up to 300 km in just 10 minutes of charging. Standard equipment kit for the Thai market includes full LED exterior lighting, 20-inch alloy wheels, pop-out flush door handles, frameless windows, power-opening charging port doors, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.96-inch and an infotainment touchscreen.
It also features power-adjustable front seats, a sound system with 18 speakers, a park assist, a panoramic glass roof, power power-opening tailgate, rear window wiper blades and six airbags. A lidar sensor will also be provided, increasing the ability for autonomous driving.
