In a move that may delight those of us who are online and mobile during the oddest of hours, YES are offering double the quota for ValuePacks on off-peak and on-peak usage. The peak data runs from 8AM until 2AM while the off-peak data ranges from 2AM to 8AM. These special promo ValuePacks are being offered until 2 August 2013 with existing 1Malaysia ValuePack, ValuePack 68 and ValuePack 150 being offered as well.
In related news, as of 1 August 2013, any accumulated data, calls and SMS will be automatically forfeited after 30 days regardless if you top up a new ValuePack. Existing customers get 90 days to use up their accumulated data. YES have also revised their Prepaid Plan as with the new "Yes PRepaid Plan" you no longer need to spend a minimum of RM30 a month to keep the account valid. Tacking on some additional value, YES are also offering quarterly Bonus data based on your quarterly top up:
- RM75 - RM150 (1GB - 500MB off peak / 500MB on peak)
- RM151 - RM450 (3GB - 1.5GB off peak / 1.5GB on peak)
- RM451 and above (6GB - 3GB off peak / 3GB on peak)
This new revision makes it better for casual users who don't have high data needs, but High data users may find the 30 day expiry a bit frustrating.
