Yes 5G named Malaysia’s fastest mobile network by Ookla

Yes 5G by YTL Communications has been recognised as Malaysia’s fastest mobile network speed in Q3 - Q4 2022 by Ookla during the Speedtest Awards in Barcelona today. The Speedtest Awards presented by Ookla is an elite designation reserved for the fastest and top-performing fixed broadband and mobile operators worldwide. 

Ookla, known for its fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis gave Yes 5G a speed score of 84.53, the highest in our country. The mobile network recorded top speeds of 569.09 Mbps for download and 65.58 Mbps for upload.

Speedtest Awards winners are determined based on a robust set of criteria using Ookla’s proprietary methodology which analyses Speedtest results, consumer sentiment ratings, and coverage scans. Furthermore, the Oookla Speed Score incorporates a measure of each provider’s download and upload speed to rank network speed performance.
