Today, Yes 5G has officially launched the country’s first-ever 5G Advanced prepaid product, introducing the Yes 5G Advanced Starter Pack priced at just RM10. Positioned as the most accessible 5G entry point, the starter pack includes 20GB of data, uncapped speeds, and 30 days validity, making it the longest-valid RM10 prepaid plan currently available in the market.

Existing Customers Upgraded at No Extra Cost

All current Yes prepaid customers have been automatically upgraded to Yes 5G Advanced, with no additional fees or steps required. This makes Yes the only telco in Malaysia to deliver 5G Advanced connectivity by default across its entire customer base, spanning prepaid, postpaid, and broadband users.

Built for Streaming, Gaming, and AI-Ready Use Cases

According to Yes, the 5G Advanced network enables higher-definition audio and video streaming, smoother low-latency connections for stable gameplay and industrial applications, and more robust connectivity even in crowded, high-traffic environments. The network is also designed to support latency-sensitive AI workloads, paving the way for emerging “physical AI” applications.

“Generasi Advanced” Campaign Targets Hyper-Connected Users

Alongside the launch, Yes is rolling out a new campaign called “Generasi Advanced”, positioning 5G Advanced as the essential enabler for today’s hyper-connected generation. The campaign highlights how the starter pack supports ultra-high-definition music experiences, ultra-smooth gaming for both casual and competitive players, and the highest-quality streaming for creators and live streamers.

Nationwide Rollout and Global Milestone

Following its initial debut in the Klang Valley, Yes has now completed the rollout of Yes 5G Advanced across its entire 5G network footprint, achieving 82.4% coverage in populated areas nationwide. This milestone reinforces Yes’s leadership in Malaysia’s 5G landscape and places Malaysia among the top 10 countries globally to enjoy this pre-6G standard, ranking ninth worldwide.

The enhanced network delivers stronger indoor penetration, broader outdoor coverage, and higher download and upload throughput, significantly improving performance across everyday and high-demand use cases.

Availability and Device Requirements

The Yes 5G Advanced Starter Pack is available through Yes Stores and authorised dealers, the official Yes website, the MyYes app, Yes’s official Shopee store, the Yes Store on TikTok Shop, as well as MyNews and CU convenience stores starting from 22 December. And of course, to fully enjoy the benefits of the service, users will need a 5G Advanced-compatible device.
