Today, Yoodo has announced a new partnership with The Pokemon Company. As the first Malaysian telco to do so, the company will be launching a new Pokemon Unite Malaysia Open 2022 with a prize pool of $20,000.

Yup, you read that right. That's the prize in USD, not Malaysian Ringgit. Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo said that Yoodo is thrilled to partner with The Pokemon Company and hopes that the upcoming tournament will provide a platform for more Malaysian esports players to shine. The registration will begin on 27 July until 30 August, with the Grand Finals scheduled for 10 September.

In addition to the launch of the tournament, Yoodo also revealed that it will be introducing the Pokémon UNITE data Add-On, slated for launch in August 2022. The new addition joins Yoodo’s library of other gaming add-ons available for its Yoodo users, which allow them to game all day and all night with a 20GB boost of data whenever needed.

Besides the new addition of Pokemon Unite, Yoodo also offers mobile gamers some nice PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile as well as Arena of Valor features. We will have to wait for more details on the Pokemon Unite data add-on until then. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
