Recently, Apple users experienced an issue with their parental controls feature. The issue mentioned is the Screen Time feature for Apple. According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple acknowledged this bug and will provide extra measures to solve this problem.

In case you didn’t know, the Screen Time feature allows parents to remotely manage a child’s device. This includes implementing a quota on usage time, setting time limits for apps and blocking inappropriate content. However, the screen time bug has caused the Screen Times settings to reset sometimes or fail to sync with all devices within a Family Sharing group.

In addition, an Apple spokesperson shared this with The Wall Street Journal:

“We are aware that some users may be experiencing an issue where Screen Time settings reset randomly. We also take these reports very seriously. We have and will continue making updates to improve the situation."

Last May, Apple released a fix for Screen Time issues with iOS 16.5. However, some reports claimed that parents have continued to experience this issue on devices updated to iOS 16.6 and the iOS 17 public beta. As of now, Apple has yet to confirm additional fixes to Screen Time.
