In case you didn’t know, Google Gemini is an AI chatbot by Google with a multi-language model. Those who subscribe to the Google One AI Premium plan will be able to access Gemini Ultra. Recently, Gemini has been brought to Google Message as well.
Previously, Gemini arrived on Google Message as Gemini Nano. You can access this feature through Smart Reply via Gboard. Now, the Gemini chatbot itself allows you to chat with Gemini to help create lists, plan trips back home and get other facts easily and quickly. This feature is limited to Google Messages beta users only for now.
Not only that, this feature can only be used on selected devices like Google Pixel 6, Pixel Fold, Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold. It is also available in 165 countries including Malaysia. However, there is no support for the Malay language yet. This feature also requires you to activate RCS.
In addition, Gemini on Messages works just like the chatbot on the Gemini website. However, it can't generate images. This feature works more like Chat Assist on Galaxy AI. So, it can help draft messages with unique language styles, generate specific dinner recommendations or ask Gemini for their opinion. Each chat will be saved for 72 hours or you can delete it yourself
If you want to try Gemini on Google Messages, make sure you are using an eligible device and have installed the beta version of the Google Messages app. You can get it from the Play Store or install it via sideload.
