OpenAI today officially announced the launch of Sora, allowing ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro users to use it to generate videos using only text input. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, you can generate videos at resolutions up to 1080p, with a duration of up to 20 seconds through Sora. OpenAI also states that you can use your own assets to produce a video, or also use text input to generate a completely new video. A “Storyboard” feature is also included to make it easier for users to optimise a video frame to better suit their needs.
In addition, Sora is available for paid ChatGPT Plus users on a limited basis, and to ChatGPT Pro users on a more comprehensive basis. ChatGPT Plus users can also only download videos with a watermark – which will require you to use ChatGPT Pro for $200 (~RM920) per month to enjoy its full features. This may also drive more people to subscribe to ChatGPT Pro, in line with the need for higher-processing video generation.
Currently, access to Sora is offered on a limited basis. If you are interested, you can visit the official Sora site at Sora.com. However, Sora is not available for ChatGPT Team, Enterprise and Edu users. We have yet to confirm other details on this matter. But that could change in the future.
