After the official announcement of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, third-party seller extraordinaire DirectD have come out with import versions going for just RM1199 (exactly the price we were thinking). Coming in black and featuring a massive 6.9-inch fullview full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 5500 mAh battery, this is not the official Mi Malaysia version. However, this hints at a possible lower official price tag if or when the Mi Max 3 comes to Malaysia.

While it is an import set and runs on a China rom, DirectD says it still has Google Play store access but since it isn't an official buy, DirectD will be supporting the 1 year in-house warranty. Other tech specs include 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front camera with Android 8.1 and a dual SIM slot. Thankfully, the 5500 mAh battery will have fast charging as well.
