Utilizing Stripe Connect and Stripe Checkout, you can now pay businesses in WhatsApp chats for Singapore. Previously available in India and Brazil, this is obviously a partnership between Meta and Stripe so Singapore WhatsApp users can pay business using credit cards, debit cards or Singapore’s PayNow.

Still, this feature is only available to certain businesses for now. If you’d like to see if your business can do so, you can set it up via WhatsApp Business where you will also get a Stripe account if you don’t already have one.

This isn’t the first time that you can pay for things through a Chat app as WeChat is used a lot for online payments in China. What do you think? Would you use WhatsApp to pay for food, buy tickets and so forth here in Malaysia?

We think it’d be cool if you could buy durian and other stuff via chat so long as it’s done securely and seamlessly. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave.com
