If you frequently use Shazam, this news might excite you. Today, Shazam announced that you can run song check while using earphones. So, what should you know about it?
According to the release note 17.3 for the iPhone and iPad, you can now identify the playing song while wearing headphones. Interestingly, it also works for songs playing around you or in another app. For instance, Instagram, TikTok and even Spotify. This is what Apple has to say about the Shazam update:
“You can now identify music while wearing headphones (wired or Bluetooth). Simply open the app, check for the headphone icon to confirm your headphones are connected, and then start recognizing music around you or within apps like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube,”
Moreover, Shazam can also recognise the music played on YouTube. The same works for other devices too. As a result, Shazam will show you the identified song when you switch back to the app. All in all, this is a very neat addition.
