Starting today, Facebook is introducing an animated profile picture feature. Tap your profile picture, then choose to turn it into an animation. That said, what should you know about it?
No feature to customise a more unique animation
For your information, there are several preset animation options, such as making a heart logo with your hand and wearing a party hat. There is no feature to insert your own prompt to create a more unique animation.
Additionally, Meta added the ability to transform uploaded Reels and Moments using the Restyle feature, which is also under the Meta AI umbrella. Photos can be transformed into Studio Ghibli-style animations, and several other presets are available. At the time of writing, this feature has not yet arrived in Malaysia, but Facebook says it will be rolled out in stages starting today.
