And that's something WhatsApp seems to be working on, according to WABetaInfo. The site has spotted a new WhatsApp feature that allows users to create custom filters for the app's filtering system. For instance, you could have a 'Work' filter for your work-related chat groups.
This should make it easier for users to track various WhatsApp chat groups, instead of merely adding to favourites. Businesses, in particular, should benefit greatly from this feature. This feature is currently under development, so it's not even available to beta testers. But since the source already has a screenshot to prove the feature is real, we can expect it to enter beta testing soon.
