You can talk to Samuel L. Jackson now using Alexa, but he may not reply kindly

Voice assistants are still rarely being used in our country. We think the reason is because we’re still not used to talking to technology pieces yet. For that, the companies have been trying to make voice assistants more fun and exciting to be interacted with by adding more features. Today, we found out that Amazon has gotten Samuel L. Jackson to be the voice cameo for its voice assistant service, Alexa.

Everybody knows Samuel as Nick Fury from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is exciting to see Amazon has decided to let the man communicate with us by replacing Alexa. The official Amazon site has also released a list of things which you can ask Samuel to do such as answering personal questions, doing maths, and of course, telling a joke.

There’s one interesting feature from this Samuel L. Jackson Alexa voice is that you can toggle on or off the swearing option. If you chose to go dirty with it, there would be curse words coming out from whatever devices you’re using the voice assistant with. In addition to that, you can’t ask Samuel to remind you things as well, as he would only say “I’m not reminding you of s**t.”

This is not the first time for voice assistant service to do this. Earlier, Google also had John Legend and Issa Rae to record their voices for Google Assistant. You could even get John Legend to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ in that smooth and velvety voice.

Just to let you know that the celebrity voice for Alexa is currently available only in the US, so don’t get your hopes up for this. What do you think about this Samuel L. Jackson taking over Alexa situation? Let us know on our Facebook page. For more cool tech news, keep an eye for TechNave.com.
