Based on a report by wabetainfo, it seems that the developers of WhatsApp could be working on a feature that allows users to import chat history from one phone number to another. With that being said, it could mean that users might not need to import chat history using a third-party service such as Google Drive or iCloud in the future.
But that’s not all, it seems that the report also mentioned WhatsApp will also migrate media such as images, videos, and potentially voice recording as well. Unfortunately, there’s no official information in regards to when the feature will be available globally.
Do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that the developers of WhatsApp have yet to provide an official statement on the leak.
