It seems that India is currently testing a new ATM withdrawal method that allows the user to withdraw money simply by scanning a QR code displays on the ATM. With that said, the user theoretically does not need to physically touch the ATM other than to grab the dispensed money.

Based on a statement by AGS Transact Technologies, this new method of withdrawal will not only make withdrawals faster, but it is also much more secure due to the fact that it reduces the chances of card skimming. Unfortunately, there is no official information on whether ATMs in Malaysia will come equipped with these functions for now.
