Gaming on a smartphone has always been fun and easy. The compact size of a smartphone allows us to launch our favourite games anytime and anywhere. However, the size of some games might not be that ‘compact’ especially those that come with large download files. In the future, Android users might be getting a new feature that lets you play games without downloading the whole app, let’s find out how!

According to rumour, Google is developing a new file system named ‘incremental file system’. The incremental file system gives you a chance to quickly try out a game, or simply lets you skip the long waiting time of downloading a game to play it. To be even clearer, the new system basically lets the users launch a large application, with downloading only some of its content and it will still be able to be kickstarted.

Sadly, the feature won’t be coming soon as it is said to be available with the launch of Android 12. Thinking of playing popular mobile games from Google Play Store like Call of Duty: Mobile or GTA: San Andreas minus the large files, we bet that you’re equally excited as we are!
