You might be able to change the colour of your Chat bubble on WhatsApp soon

WhatsApp is developing a theme customisation feature for the messaging app that will allow you to choose a wallpaper and five new colour options for chat bubbles. Interestingly, WABetaInfo discovered this feature in WhatsApp iOS beta version v24.11.10.70 and claims that similar changes will also appear on Android. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the selected color will be the chat theme for the entire application. These changes are only visible to you and it does not affect other users. WhatsApp previously offered a blue colour before switching to the iconic green earlier this month.

In other news, there were reports earlier this year that the Meta-owned messaging app may allow users to customise user interface elements such as icons and badges with different colours. WhatsApp currently allows you to change the chat wallpaper with a dark or light theme. In case you didn’t know, there are manual settings to adjust the visibility of graffiti on the wallpaper. You can also set a background image from the gallery.

In addition, WhatsApp is also developing other features including artificial intelligence-generated personal photos, clearing unread counts, hiding community chats and a new user interface for status updates. We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Hopefully, everything goes well so we can enjoy the feature soon.
