According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently developing a new feature that allows you to send scheduled messages directly within the app without having to rely on third-party apps or other alternative methods.
More flexibility and control over your messages
With this new feature, you can simply type their message as usual before selecting a specific date and time for automatic delivery. The message will be saved in advance and only sent when the designated time arrives, without requiring any additional action.
Additionally, once a message is scheduled, WhatsApp will display it in a special section on the chat information screen. Through it, users can see the number of scheduled messages and manage them more easily.
Moreover, you will have full control and can delete scheduled messages at any time before they are sent. Deleting the message will not display any notification to the recipient as long as the message has not been sent.
Furthermore, the presence of this feature will allow messages to be planned, whether for birthday wishes, appointment reminders or work-related updates. Indirectly, it helps to make communication more organised by allowing messages to be prepared in advance without disrupting the current workflow.
Besides that, the feature is expected to support individual and group chats and be offered for free to all users. Currently, the scheduled message feature is still in the development phase and is expected to be introduced first to beta testers before being expanded to all users.
