
If you have plans in KL tomorrow, you might want to postpone it. Following the resignation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Abdullah, the 16th Head of State of the country. Kuala Lumpur will conduct comprehensive and phased road closures in phases on Tuesday. So, what should you know about it?
National Traffic and Enforcement Department director-general Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri pointed out that the resignation ceremony will be held on Tuesday morning, so all affected roads will be gradually closed from 9 am on Tuesday. The police force will dispatch 91 police officers to conduct traffic control. So, all roads will be gradually opened for use after the ceremony.
Azman said the police advised everyone to avoid using fully closed roads during the ceremony. He also advised everyone to follow the instructions of the traffic police on duty. For your information, these are the roads and sections affected tomorrow:
7 completely closed road sections:
1. Jalan Damansara heading towards Jalan Parlimen
2. Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim heading towards Jalan Parlimen
3. Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar heading towards Jalan Parlimen
4. Jalan Kuching heading towards Dato' Onn traffic circle
5. Jalan Salahudin heading towards Dato' Onn traffic circle
6 . Jalan Kuching/Jalan Sultan Ismail heading towards Dato' Onn traffic circle
7. Jalan Tun Perak heading towards Dato' Onn traffic circle
13 road sections that will be closed and opened in stages:
Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar to Jalan Damansara (from the direction of the National Museum)
2. Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin to Jalan Damansara (from the Hishamuddin Traffic Circle)
3. Jalan Tun Sambathan to Jalan Damansara
4. Jalan Syed Putra to Jalan Istana
5. Jalan Dewan Bahasa towards Jalan Istana
6. Jalan Sungai Besi towards KL-Seremban Expressway
7. Lingkaran Tengah towards Lebuhraya Syed Putra
8. Jalan Connaught towards Lebuhraya Syed Putra
9. New Pantai Expressway (NPE) towards Pantai Dalam
10. Maju Expressway towards Tol Salak South
11. Lebuhraya Kesas towards Sungai Besi
12. Lebuhraya Kesas towards KL/Seremban Expressway
