Thanks to their latest collaboration with Bookshop.org, Spotify will be able to offer physical book sales on its platform. So, what should you know about it?
This feature is set for arrival at the end of February
For your information, customers in the United States and the United Kingdom will be able to purchase physical books directly through Spotify starting next spring. The physical book offering is being made because Spotify recognises that many readers still prefer to own physical books. With this feature, streamed audiobooks can be purchased directly from within the app, with Spotify taking a cut of the sale.
Moreover, Spotify introduced Page Match. Now audiobook listeners can continue reading their ebooks. Where they left off listening or reading will be automatically synced by Spotify. This feature will be supported on ebooks and audiobooks in English only starting at the end of February.
