In the middle of last year, the Malaysian company GovTech introduced the MyGOV application, which is a one-stop application for various existing government digital services. Recently, it has been reported that users can use the app to watch live World Cup matches. Here’s everything you need to know.
Around 2.2 million Malaysians are using this app
For your information, the MyGOV application is currently reported to be used by 2.2 million Malaysians to access 51 government services across 19 government agencies through a single platform, including MySejahtera, MyJPJ, PriceCatcher, Benefit Portal and also Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR).

Most recently, the government has also announced that, ahead of the World Cup, which will take place soon, the MyGOV application will also be one of the platforms for broadcasting the global football event. Users who have registered with MyDigital ID will be able to watch live broadcasts using their respective mobile devices, via the MyGOV platform, in addition to existing broadcast platforms.
At present, a basic review of the MyGOV app does not show the broadcast feature being offered, but it is expected that the app will be updated closer to the World Cup date, which is on 11 June 2026, in just a week.
