The government introduced the BUDI95 petrol subsidy program two months ago. Now, JPJ recently said that you could lose this privilege if you fail to do this important step. So, what should you know about it?

Pay or lose your privileges

For your information, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has said that Malaysian vehicle owners who do not pay the JPJ summons by 31 December 2025 will lose their eligibility to use the petrol subsidy. The BUDI95 subsidy is tied to your driving license.

So, if the JPJ system finds that the license holder has any outstanding JPJ summonses, the petrol pump will say that you are not eligible to use the BUDI95 scheme when you scan your identity card. Moreover, you can use the MyJPJ application or go to websites such as MyEG to check if you have any outstanding JPJ summons and pay them before the due date.
