Starting from 1 June 2021, Google will no longer be offering free unlimited storage for photos that are uploaded onto Google Photos using the “High quality” setting. With that being said, you might want to consider subscribing to Google One which lets provides you with up to 2TB of additional storage space starting from as low as RM8.49 a month.

Do note that pictures saved on Google Photos using the “High quality” setting do not take up storage space, so it’s best to backup all your precious onto Google Photos before the changes take place. On another note, Google will also be releasing a new management tool that will help you keep track of how much storage you have left and help you remove blurry photos that take up unnecessary space.
