If you frequently use YouTube Music instead of Spotify or so forth, this rumour might interest you. Recently, a Redditor shared what looks like a Beta update for YouTube Music. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the beta update featured a simpler casting UI for the app. Traditionally, you could see a floating window in the middle of the screen after tapping the casting button. Thanks to this update, I revamped the UI might enable more options for casting at a time.

Moreover, you might notice the volume slider appears in a bottom card compared to its predecessors. Interesting, there are no buttons to “stop casting” on this UI as of now. If you are both an Android and iOS user, you might notice this is an attempt by YouTube to make its UI interface on Android closer to iOS.

In addition, Google has also made it easier to switch between voice control and touchscreen control when using Nest audio devices or displays. That means you can start a session via voice and continue controlling playback, queue, and more through the YouTube Music app on your phone.

We have yet to confirm other details on this feature or its Malaysia release date. As of now, we should wait for further confirmation from Google.
