When travelling, some people watch movies on the plane to pass the time. Others prefer listening to music. The latter would require you to have songs on your device, so you'd rely on offline features for platforms like YouTube Music. The problem is they won't come with lyrics.
Offline lyrics before Spotify and Apple Music
While you could screenshot the lyrics, it's not as convenient as the standard YouTube Music lyrics feature. However, the platform could solve this soon with offline lyrics. According to a Reddit user, YouTube Music will now let users download lyrics for offline use. The feature has been made available to some Android users, with iOS beta testing likely to follow soon.

This is likely a limited beta test to gauge the users' reception to the feature. It's also how developers get feedback for a feature for further tweaking, before rolling it out to all users. The source only provided a static screenshot of the feature, so we don't know where the download button is. However, it seems the offline lyrics feature at least functions like the normal online one.
As a reminder, you'll need a Premium subscription to access offline features. Have you spotted the offline lyrics feature in YouTube Music yet? If yes, please let us know how it's working for you.
