It was only a week ago that we got to know about YouTube Playable's existence. Now, this new feature is being rolled out to YouTube Premium members but not globally yet, as we can't access it in Malaysia.

To recap, YouTube Playable is the latest addition that allows YouTube Premium users to play mobile games on their phones and desktops. According to sources, there are no in-game item purchases (perhaps for now) and you don't need to download anything as you can just select a game to play on the go.

The feature is probably rolling out in the US now as we speak. It's located at the Explore Tab on the left sidebar of the YouTube desktop, and you can just click on it to get started. There is a total of 37 titles and you can start off by going into the Popular list or explore the section around the Home page and Browse tabs.

There are some popular well-known games such as Angry Birds Showdown, Daily Solitaire, The Daily Crossword, and 8 Ball Billiards Classic. Plenty of games for everyone from arcade to puzzle and sources say Playables is available until 28 March 2024. It seems that YouTube Playables is on trial to test the waters.

Google is clearly following Netflix's footsteps in this manner. For the uninitiated, the latter has Netflix Games with an official license to existing games from the PC/console or develops its own games based on popular shows like Stranger Things. It was also recently announced that the popular roguelike game Hades is coming to Netflix Games as well.
