Looks like YouTube users could be up for an upset. YouTube seems to have now raised the price of YouTube Premium subscriptions in several countries, including Malaysia. So, what should you know about it?
For the record, YouTube Premium monthly subscriptions were previously offered at RM17.90 for individuals, RM33.90 for families and RM10.90 for students. With the new price update, the YouTube Premium subscription goes up to RM20.90 (individual), RM41.90 (family) and RM12.90 (student). The catch? You will have to sign up directly on the website to enjoy the RM20.90 rate.

In addition, YouTube Premium subscription prices through the Apple App Store also show an increase, with individual and family plans now costing RM26.90/month and RM54.90/month respectively. According to YouTube, new members will be charged the price as displayed in the offer at signup. For existing members, the new monthly rate will be charged during the first billing cycle that occurs, at least 30 days after the plan price increase.
