In June, YouTube reportedly added support for the sleep timer feature. In the latest development, the feature is now available as a trial and accessible to YouTube Premium users. So, what should you know about it?

With this feature, users can set a timer to stop playback automatically after a certain period of time. The sleep timer feature can already be tested by Premium users until September 2, 2024. To activate it, you can go to the profile section, select " Your Premium benefits" and press “Experimental new features".

Interestingly, for easier access, you can click Try it out" on the feature you want to test. After that, open YouTube Premium on a mobile or desktop device and navigate to the settings menu section. Then, set the "Sleep Timer" in the available duration options - 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes, and stop at the end of the video.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Hopefully, everything will be resolved soon. After all, this feature could benefit YouTube Premium users in Malaysia too.
