Remember YouTube Shorts? YouTube has gradually rolled out its version of short-video format to many countries this year, so you've probably seen some Shorts on the platform. But for Malaysians who want to create these shorts yourselves, now you can!

Google Malaysia has just announced that the beta version of YouTube Shorts is now available in Malaysia. Creators will now have access to the Shorts creation tools, which include a multi-segment camera that lets you put multiple video clips together. You can also adjust the speed setting, add captions to Shorts, record music, and more.

Users should be able to access YouTube Shorts on desktop or the mobile app soon, though the update won't immediately be available to all Malaysians. But local channels like SoImJenn and Smashpop have already begun to experiment with Shorts. If you're a creator, do head over to YouTube to see if you've gotten the update.

With that said, what do you think of YouTube Shorts so far? Do you think it's a good alternative to TikTok? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
